I seem to be finding legwarmers everywhere these days. My weekend Etsy search led me to this pair from Corpseknit. They feature an elegant plaid tie adorned with a pressed metal dragon button (see insert). Like many of my favorite designers, Corpseknit designer Jessica Rose, has another artisitic talent. She’s also the keyboardist for the Canadian metal band, Woods of Ypres.

Here’s what she says about her work:

I studied Fashion Design in Toronto, and graduated with highest honours in 2003. I am now working out of my humble home studio in Kitchener, Ontario.  My work is produced using a mechanical vintage Japanese knitting machine. Creating this way allows me to knit delicate yarn in intricate patterns that I would not be able to do by hand. With great patience and meticulous attention to detail, each piece is individually knit, blocked, and seamed.
