Tonight as Brooke White was bawling her eyes out showed her sensitive side upon her elimination on American Idol, I couldn’t help but remember how professional Carly Smithson was last week when she was voted off. In her exit interview she mentions e-mails she received from Idol “fans” asking her to cover up her tattoo.
Well…….in honor of Carly, I found this photo of Tattoo Sleeves at the Thank You Mart in L.A. If I could find them here in Scranton, PA, I’d just have to slip one on. And by the way, Carly’s tattoo is not Amy Winehouse. It is a copy of a painting of a Geisha.
According to RealityTVMagazine -
Carly revealed, “ It’s so funny, even Andrew Lloyd Webber said ‘oh, look you have Amy Winehouse on your arm.’ I’m like ‘no.’ It was funny, but I love my tattoo and that was one thing in the show that really bothered me that it wasn’t finished and we never get any time. And I really wanted to go and get it finished, but, yes, her face will be white and her lips will be red. She’ll look nothing like Amy Winehouse by the time it’s finished.”

I can’t believe Carly’s going home after her performance of “Jesus Christ Superstar” last night. After Brooke had to restart (and I agree with Paula that stopping and starting is definitely a no-no), I thought for sure she’d be the one packing her bags tonight.
Some seem to think it’s her tattoos, and I’ve even seen it suggested that it was her paisley dress! I happened to love her dress last night. I just found out through “Just Jules and Your Average Joe” that the dress is from 3.1 Phillip Lim. According to Just Jules –
the fountain paisley shift dress, embellished with rhinestones and embroidery, has also been spotted on actress Kate Hudson!

I’ve been a fan of fingerless gloves for a long time, back in the day when you just cut off the fingers yourself. So I couldn’t help noticing Paula’s gloves last night on American Idol. They looked a little over the top with all the bling, and I half expected to hear some comments from Simon about them but if he said anything it was off-air.
Today I tried to find something similar, but I think I came up with something even better. Glovedup comes from a studio in London. The designer goes by the name of Agent Anonym and according to her website she has received commissions from:
… designers like Diesel, Heatherette, Robert Cary Williams, and Victim, pop stars like Peaches and Madonna, and an increasing list of stylists and fashion editors, stimulate an ever-evolving collection…Whilst gloves remain the focus, other accessories creep into my collections. Most recently I’ve been doing lots of crochet with recycled plastic bags…(read more)

Also, be sure to visit Glovedup’s stunning gallery to see more glove styles like the ones shown above.

American Idol rock chick, Amanda Overmyer, wore a terrific long knit scarf last night. It was at least down to her knees. So where do you look for a long long scarf that isn’t too bulky to wear in the spring? Etsy, of course.

I found this pretty pink knit scarf at LauraCraft for only $10!
